"I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation
Come on Barbie, let's go party!"
The Song
"Barbie Girl" is a song in the bubblegum pop genre by the Dano-Norwegian dance-pop group Aqua, who released it in 1997. The song is included on the album Aquarium and was written by Claus Norreen and Søren Nystrøm Rasted after the group saw an exhibit on kitsch culture. The song topped the charts worldwide, particularly in European countries such as the UK, where it was #1 on the charts for three weeks.
The lyrics of the song are about Barbie and Ken, the dolls made by Mattel. Both the song and its music video feature Lene Nystrøm Rasted (Aqua's lead vocalist) as Barbie and René Dif (the group's male vocalist) as Ken. As such, the lyrics drew the ire of Barbie's corporate owners.
Mattel sued the band, saying they violated the Barbie trademark and turned Barbie into a sex object, referring to her as a "Blonde Bimbo." They alleged the song had violated their copyrights and trademarks of Barbie, and that its lyrics had tarnished the reputation of their trademark. In 2002, Judge Alex Kozinski ruled the song was protected as a parody under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and "both parties were advised to chill."

The film
Legally Blonde is a 2001 comedy film starring Reese Witherspoon. The movie tells the story of a blonde sorority queen. When she is dumped by her boyfriend, she decides to follow him to law school to get him back and, once there, learns she has more legal savvy than she ever imagined. Legally blonde is a romantic comedy which tries to prove that stereotyping is bad. It is generally assumed that all blondes are silly since the colour of the hair does not allow them to think properly. The film tries to teach that appearances are deceptive and that discrimination is bad.
There are many mths about girls who look Barbie. Whereas brunettes are considered to be more passionate and smarter, blondes are considered to be cold-hearted and dumber. The following is a story which, though
funny, reflects the prejudice that society has against blondes in favour of brunettes.

My Point of View
Discrimination, whatever form it takes, is bad. There is an obvious kind of beauty, that which is apparent to the eyes and that pleases the eyesight, but there is another one, the one that takes a second look to discover... If you judge someone just by the way that person looks, you might be missing the chance of getting to know someone who could change your life...
