"Closer than my closest friend
Someone who will be there til the end
My sister, sister
Deeper than the deepest sea
No-one loves you like your family
My sister, sister"
The Sisters
Sister2Sister are multi-platinum selling singers, songwriters and television presenters who also happen to be sisters in real life. Christina and Sharon Muscat started their careers when they were very young. Growing up in a very musical family, it was during those early years that the two developed a love for music. However, they also had a knack for acting, which resulted in both of them playing roles in TV commercials and soap operas. Australian sisters Sharon and Christine Muscat sing together in perfect pop harmony. They also write their own music. Sharon plays the piano and guitar, while Chris adds her skills with the piano and drums.
In between recording sessions, and making videos, the sisters travel a lot, performing in the United States, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, and Germany, as well as their homeland, Australia. They have appeared with groups like Five, B*witched, Blaque, Innocence, and BBMak. Sister 2 Sister has also completed a Disney radio tour, a Disney World tour, a Nickelodeon tour, and toured as one of the opening acts for Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Savage Garden, and others.
The Song
Still in their teens, Sharon (the youngest at 15) and Chris (19) released a debut single, "Sister," in 1999. The single was very successful in Australia. During that same year Sister 2 Sister completed a debut full-length album, One. The story on the album's title is that the young sisters sound so much alike, that they earned the nickname "One." It seemed perfect for their first album. That album went gold.

The Books

Sweet Valley High is a book series created by Francine Pascal, who presided over a team of ghostwriters for the duration of the series' creation in 1983. The series ended twenty years later with over 152 books to its name. Over the years, the books revolved around the lives of teenagers Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, twins who live in fictitious Sweet Valley, California. The books are generally classified as young adult or kids' fiction.
The Writer
Ruth Barbara Rendell, Baroness Rendell of Babergh, (born 17 February 1930), who also writes under the pseudonym Barbara Vine, is an English best-selling mystery and psychological crime writer. Many of her works have been adapted for film and television, including Diary of the Dead, The Tree of Hands and the Pedro Almodóvar film Live Flesh.
Rendell is famous for her elegant prose and sharp insights into the human mind, as well as her ability to create cogent plots and characters. In 1982 she wrote a short story called May and June. May Thrace and June Symonds are sisters, but their lives are very different. While June lives in the lap of luxury, May is struggling. And May becomes convinced that she has been done a great injustice since June has stolen May her fiancé. When a funeral (June's husband dies) brings about the reconciliation of the two estranged sisters, one of them is consumed by jealousy and murders her sibling, and takes over her identity and her home.

My Point of View
The song Sister in fact exposes the real relationship between sisters. It is indeed a love and hate one. One sister complains the other "is a real nightmare" as she never lets her talk on the phone when her boyfriend is on the other side. She also borrows clothes without ever returning them and she reads her diary and gets to know all her secrets. It is true a sister will be "til the end" but sometimes she can be a real nuisance!
